Best Advice: Don’t do anything in the daylight that will keep you awake in the night. Be kind to others, you never know what they are going through.

Favorite Charities: With family members in the military, there is a special place in my heart for Operation 300, which hosts adventure camps for children of fallen service members, and Tunnel to Towers Foundation that supports the families of first responders and the military. I also support Humane Society Naples and Naples Cat Alliance, where I recently adopted two adorable kittens, Jax and Abby.

Guilty Pleasure: Coca-Cola and Dark Chocolate.

Courtney Smuder

Portrait of Courtney

“As a financial professional, it’s so rewarding to help people feel more confident about their financial future by identifying their goals and assisting them to make more informed decisions to reach them.”

Courtney has worked in the financial services industry since graduating with a Juris Doctorate from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2012. While attending law school, she focused on estate planning, trusts, and federal income tax. Pri-or to law school, she earned her bachelor’s degree in finance, graduating cum laude from Florida Gulf Coast University. Please keep in mind that Courtney can’t provide tax or legal advice but is happy to work with you and your outside advisors.

Born and raised in Naples, Courtney is a graduate of Naples High School.

Recently, Courtney adopted a puppy from the Humane Society that she has named Nala. Nala is a handful but definitely worth the work! Courtney and Nala enjoy going for walks at Greenway and the new paths in Baker Park.

On a personal note…

Perfect End to a Beach Day: On Captiva Island, the Bubble Room is a must-stop for Orange Crunch Cake, followed by watching the sunset at the Mucky Duck – or –watching a Florida Gator football game with friends and family!

Favorite Charity: I am very passionate about the David Lawrence Center and serve as Chair of the Wellness Committee on the DLC Young Executive Board. In 2017, I started the Elevate Wellness Series. The goal of Elevate is to improve personal health and well-being through physical activity, while also promoting awareness of mental health and substance abuse within our community. All of the proceeds from Elevate Wellness Series events go to Crossroads holistic treatment programs such as physical training, yoga, equine treatment, and art therapy programs for the clients in the Crossroads Detox and Residential pro-grams.

Best Way to Unwind: Mastering asanas at Yoga Lab in Naples. I also recently completed my 200-hour yoga teacher certification. Namaste!

On a personal note…

Personal Passion: I love the ocean and sea animals. One of my favorite things to do is go running on Naples Beach, where my kids and I often see dolphins. A dream vacation would be whale watching or shark cage diving.

Beloved Children’s Book: When You Give a Mouse a Cookie by Laura Numeroff. It’s about wanting more and becoming self-sufficient.

Favorite Charities: I have a passion for charities that benefit children, especially Guadalupe Center and Make a Wish Foundation. Nothing fulfills me more than seeing the joy on children’s faces when they find out their wish is going to be granted, especially when they are being challenged with terminal diseases or issues that no child should have to face.

Natalie Artimez

Client Associate
Portrait of Natalie

“I strive to learn something new every day. The best part of my workday is when I have the opportunity to solve a problem. What motivates me more than anything is helping our team assist our clients with achieving their financial goals.”

Previously, Natalie worked as a legal assistant at the Public Defender’s Office and a local law firm. Though she cannot provide legal advice in her current capacity she believes this helps give her a well-rounded background. She is fluent in Spanish and relocated from Miami to Naples in 2006. Natalie graduated Summa Cum Laude from Florida Gulf Coast University in 2017, earning a bachelor’s degree in legal studies. She credits the Boys & Girls Club with guiding her on a path to fulfill her potential. She also believes in giving back so other children can do the same. For more than three years, Natalie volunteered as a Guardian ad Litem for the 20th Judicial Circuit in Collier County, serving as a court-appointed advocate for abused and neglected children. When she’s not working, she enjoys biking along the Gordon River Greenway Park and hiking at Bird Rookery Swamp.
